What does a gorilla eat for dinner? Does a rhino snore? And just how wide can a lion yawn?
Join us for Goodnight Zoo – a two-hour tour where we visit selected animals after the park has closed. Experience the very special atmosphere of the zoo in the evening, when the other guests have gone home and the animals are settling down for the night.
Goodnight Zoo is a unique experience for animal lovers of all ages who would like to get even closer to some of the park’s animals.
Please note that Goodnight Zoo takes place on the animals’ terms, and the programme may therefore be subject to change out of consideration for their welfare.
Prices
The price includes Goodnight Zoo as well as admission to the park for the entire day before Goodnight Zoo begins.
Adult, age 12+: DKK 365
Child, age 3–11: DKK 195
Children age 0–2: Free of charge – no ticket required.
Young children must sit on an adult’s lap during bus transportation.

We reserve the right to change the programme if, out of consideration for the animals, we cannot enter some of the scheduled pens on a given day.
Frequently Asked Questions about Goodnight Zoo
- Where do I meet the guide?
Please meet your guide in the car park in front of Givskud Zoo’s Ticket Office no later than 10 minutes before the tour begins. Have your booking confirmation ready to show. You will have received it by email when you made your purchase. Your meeting time is stated in the booking confirmation. - I am already inside the park before Goodnight Zoo starts. Can I meet the guide inside the park?
No. You must meet your guide in the car park in front of the park. You will therefore need to walk or drive back to the entrance, depending on whether you have visited the zoo on foot or by car. If you have driven your car inside the park, remember to park it in the car park in front of the Ticket Office. At the end of the tour, the bus will drop you off in the car park in front of the park. - Will we be walking or travelling by bus?
Goodnight Zoo mainly takes place by bus, but there will also be some walking in order to reach the animal houses. Please wear suitable footwear and clothing appropriate for the season and weather. - Can I bring a pushchair or pram for small children?
Yes. Pushchairs and prams can be stored in the luggage compartment of the bus. -
Is the tour suitable for wheelchair users and guests with limited mobility?
Wheelchairs, walking frames and walking sticks can be brought along without any problems. We travel to the animal houses by bus, and mobility aids can be stored in the luggage compartment during transport. It is also possible to borrow a wheelchair from the Ticket Office before the tour.If you use an electric wheelchair, you are welcome to follow the safari bus in your own car.
