Terms and conditions for GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP

Payment

All prices are stated in Danish kroner (DKK) including VAT and all taxes.
Any exceptions will be stated and will clearly appear in the relevant booking.

Credit card transactions are processed on a separate secure server with full encryption of all credit card information. GIVSKUD ZOO – HOSTEL cooperates with NETS to maintain a secure payment solution. This solution meets all PBS requirements for secure payment solutions. Your credit card information will not be made available to other companies or organisations, and GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP has only limited access to your credit card information.

Shipping and delivery

When you book and pay, you will receive an order confirmation showing the details of your purchase. The confirmation can be printed from the website after the booking has been completed and will also be sent by email immediately after purchase, provided you have entered the correct email address.

Access to and delivery of the booked services and goods takes place upon arrival at GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP on the day of arrival and ends upon departure. The arrival and departure dates, as well as the check-in code, are stated in the confirmation.

Cancellation

You may cancel your booking under the following conditions:

Stays of up to one night can be cancelled on time up to 14 days before arrival.
Stays of two nights or more can be cancelled on time up to 30 days before arrival.
For cancellations made on time, the full amount will be refunded, except for a DKK 100 administration fee.
If you cancel later than the applicable cancellation deadlines, you will forfeit the full amount paid.

Cancellation must be made in writing and, within the deadlines, sent directly to GIVSKUD ZOO – HOSTEL at hostel@givskudzoo.dk.

Registration of information

We register your name, address, email and other information provided in connection with your purchase in our customer records. The information is not disclosed to third parties, but we store the registration for 5 years.

Handling of complaints

If you do NOT receive confirmation of your purchase and do NOT receive an error message from the system, please write to us at the address below or call the phone number below.

Complaints regarding the booking, the stay or the booking process must be made within a reasonable time after you discovered the error or should have discovered it when reviewing your confirmation. You may submit a complaint to us either in writing or verbally. As a general rule, your right to complain expires one year after the stay has been completed.

When we receive your complaint, we will process it as quickly as possible. We will then decide whether your booking should be refunded, exchanged, or whether a price reduction should be granted.

Force majeure and similar circumstances

If the performance of the rental agreement is wholly or partly prevented or significantly impeded as a result of force majeure or similar extraordinary circumstances, including but not limited to war, riots, natural disasters, oil and petrol rationing, pollution disasters, epidemics, pandemics, suspension of currency trading, unusual weather conditions, drought, flooding, border closures, traffic disruptions, strikes, lockouts or similar circumstances that could not be foreseen at the time the agreement was entered into, GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP is entitled to cancel the rental agreement. In such cases, GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP cannot be held liable.

In the event of force majeure, GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP will inform the renter as soon as possible. Amounts paid will not be refunded; instead, a voucher corresponding to the amount paid will be issued. The voucher can be used to book a new stay within a period of 3 years from the date of issue.
