Luxury safari tents with a view of the savannah

At GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP, you stay overnight in insulated luxury safari tents right next to the savannah. Inside the tent, there’s a cosy, warm atmosphere with space for play, calm and the stories that naturally emerge as you take in the day’s experiences.
It feels like being on safari in completely safe surroundings.

The tent is raised one metre above the ground, so you can enjoy the animals and the view from lounge furniture on the east-facing terrace.

When you step into the tent, you enter directly into the kitchen-dining area, where you’ll find a comfortable dining space and a kitchen with an induction hob and a fridge/freezer. The kitchen also includes a dishwasher, dishwasher tablets and a tea towel, dishcloth, washing-up liquid and brush.

We've also set up a small coffee corner with an electric kettle, instant coffee and tea for you.

In the safari tent, you have your own bathroom with a toilet and shower. Towels are ready for you. Duvets and pillows as well as bed linen are included and provided according to the number of guests booked for the tent. The beds are made up on arrival. In the bedrooms, you will find shelves for storing luggage.

The tent is insulated and equipped with air conditioning, ensuring a comfortable indoor climate all year round.

In the west-facing private area below the tent, you can prepare the family’s meals on the gas barbecue in the glow of the sunset.

Private parking is included, with an EV charger by the tent.

One tent is specially designed for guests with disabilities or reduced mobility. This tent is accessed via a ramp and has a wide doorway, a toilet with support rails, and plenty of space around the furniture. The tent is disability-friendly, but not suitable for users of an electric wheelchair.

When booking GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP, the following is included:

Final cleaning
Bed linen and towels
Dishwasher tablets, tea towel and dishcloth
Consumption of water, gas (barbecue) and electricity (charging at the charging station is paid separately at the time of charging)

The tent includes one bedroom with a double bed (160 × 200 cm) and a room with two bunk beds (80 × 200 cm). In addition, there is an alcove with two sleeping spaces.

The tent can be accessed via a ramp and is furnished with plenty of space around the furniture.

Wake Up Zoo

Say good morning to the animals on this truly special behind-the-scenes tour at GIVSKUD ZOO – ZOOTOPIA, and enjoy admission to the park throughout your stay.

Would you like to say good morning to the animals before we open the park to other guests? On Wake Up Zoo, you’ll meet selected animals in their stables or enclosures together with a guide early in the morning.

You will meet your guide at the park entrance, and from there you will be driven around by bus to see the different animals. Wake Up Zoo is a unique opportunity to experience the animals up close, get a special look inside the barns, and visit other areas that are normally closed to guests.

Wake Up Zoo can be purchased separately, and the ticket includes admission to GIVSKUD ZOO – ZOOTOPIA for the entire duration of your stay, including on your departure day.

There is a limited number of places on Wake Up Zoo, which is offered on selected days.

Buy a ticket to GIVSKUD ZOO – ZOOTOPIA and get access to the park throughout your stay.

Tickets are purchased separately, either online or upon arrival at the park.

When you stay overnight at GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP, you pay the standard park admission. The ticket is valid for the entire duration of your stay, including your departure day.

Feed the giraffes

Only available for 15 people per day.

Follow a guide up to the platform on the large savannah, where you can meet the giraffes at eye level and try feeding these majestic animals.

Giraffe feeding must be booked online well in advance of your overnight stay.

Frequently asked questions about GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP.

When and how do I check in/out?

Check-in is from 4:00 pm.

Check-out is no later than 10:00 am.

You will receive a code and check-in instructions by email three days before your stay.

What's included in the booking?

Final cleaning.
Bed linen (beds are made up on arrival).
Towels (one hand towel and one bath towel per person).
Dishwasher tablets (three).
Tea towel and dishcloth.
Consumption of water, gas (barbecue) and electricity (excluding electricity used for charging a car).

What facilities are available?

There are the following facilities in all tents:

Fridge/freezer, electric kettle and dishwasher.
Bedroom with a double bed (160 × 200 cm).
Bunk bed (80 × 200 cm, maximum load on the top bunk 90 kg) and/or an alcove with two mattresses (80 × 200 cm).
Toilet and shower.
WiFi.
Electricity.
Air conditioning.

At each tent:

EV charging station.

Barbecue (gas).
Terrace with a view of the savannah.

Can I charge my electric car?

Yes, there is a charging station at each tent.

11 kWh /Type 2 connector.

Payment by credit card directly at the charging station.

Are the tents accessible for guests with disabilities?

At GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP, you’ll find a safari tent that is specially designed for guests with disabilities.

However, the tent is not accessible for users of electric wheelchairs.

Is it possible to visit GIVSKUD ZOO – ZOOTOPIA in connection with my stay?

Yes, tickets to GIVSKUD ZOO – ZOOTOPIA must be purchased separately and provide access to the park throughout your entire stay at GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP.

Do I have access to GIVSKUD ZOO – ZOOTOPIA outside the park’s opening hours when I stay overnight at GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP?

If you stay overnight at GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP and have purchased an admission ticket to GIVSKUD ZOO – ZOOTOPIA, your ticket is valid throughout your stay during the park’s opening hours.

Can I bring my dog to GIVSKUD ZOO - SAFARI CAMP?

It is not permitted to bring a dog when you stay overnight at GIVSKUD ZOO – SAFARI CAMP.

Is smoking allowed?

Smoking in the tents is not allowed.
